CRUISING IT UP IN THE WHITSUNDAYS

Hey guys!!!  Well recently I was lucky enough to head up to the Whitsundays and go day sailing on Camira, as well as do a reef trip out to Knuckle Reef Pontoon.  What can I say…..Stunning, Incredible,  Amazing all pop to mind.  You just can’t beat it.  I mean, where else in the world do you find pristine beaches,  island backdrops and diverse marine life and coral?  It blows you away!!!

Camira stands alone.  At 85 ft she takes up to 60 people on board, is one of the worlds fastest sailing catamarans, is modern, sleek and hard to miss being bright purple in colour!!!  You can just chill on deck between snorkelling the reef around Hook Island and lazing on one of the worlds top ten beaches… Whitehaven Beach.  The crew are fantastic and you will enjoy a scrumptious morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, plus all the beer, wine and soft drink you can drink!!!  Sailing on Camira is a fabulous way to enjoy this region.  I had a great time and so will you.  Just make sure to wear lots of sunscreen so you don’t end up looking like a lobster like I did : )

Another fabulous day that’s more reef focussed is the trip out to Knuckle Reef Pontoon.  It’s really awesome and suitable for all people, including singles, couples, families, and those of you that can’t swim.  You are welcomed by the Cruise Whitsundays crew from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave.  ‘Seaflight’ is the stylish vessel you board to and from the pontoon, which is located in the outer Barrier Reef.  If you’ve never dived before, why not try an intro dive.  I did and it was amazing!!!  You get so much closer, see so much more, and with such clarity.  It’s is another world down there and its very special.  Reef Safaris offer intro or certified dives and its even possible to do your dive certification here.  The pontoon is awesome!!!   All snorkelling equipment is provided, there is a super cool water slide that’s soooo much fun.  You can sunbake on top, visit the underwater viewing chamber, go out on a glass bottom boat or submerged vessel or take a scenic helicopter flight.  Morning tea, tropical lunch and afternoon tea is all included and there are both on board and underwater photographers to make your day memorable.

Cruise Whitsundays also offer day trips out to  South Molle, Daydream and Long Island.  Obviously you have your 2 or 3 day sailing adventures which are always fabulous but if you’re short on time or simply interested in day trips then these are perfect.  Post me a comment if you have any questions regarding Whitsundays and i’ll be happy to respond.

Cheers, Rachel
