Australia’s hidden wonder - Tasmania!

Have you ever wondered about that little island at the bottom of Australia? It’s a bit of a hidden gem if you ask me!Of course it’s Tasmania - rich with history and amazing scenery. I was recently lucky enough to visit this beautiful island for two weeks - I definitely think it should be on everyones list of top places to visit in Australia!
It’s super easy to get there - Virgin Blue and Jetstar fly daily into Launceston and the capital, Hobart, or there’s even the option of taking the ferry from Melbourne to Devonport. Once in ‘Tassie’ it’s easy to get around - drive, hike, tour - there’s plenty to do and see!
Most of Tasmania is National Park, and there are some truly stunning sights, from Cradle Mountain, to the rugged coast lines. Wineglass Bay, in Freycinet National Park, is regarded as one of the top beaches in the entire world! Tasmania also has an abundance of incredible wildlife that you might not see elsewhere - Tasmanian ‘Devils’, Wombats, Wallaby’s, Kangaroos and loads more.
I thoroughly enjoyed my tour, which was a three day East Coast explorer, with Adventure Tours Australia. This was a great way to see all the highlights, with plenty of fun, free time, optional tours and more! We had our own private beach houses, more food than we could handle, and a terrific guide who made it all so easy.
So if you have the time, definitely get down to Tasmania, it’s definitely one of Australia’s best kept secrets!!!
